Your private resort escape
This project reimagines backyard living through a carefully planned, resort-inspired retreat — designed entirely from the ground up.
Due to conservation restrictions related to the home’s ravine-side lot, the pool was thoughtfully relocated away from the main residence, allowing the property to open into its own private oasis. From the moment you step outside, the experience feels intentionally removed — quiet, calm, and distinctly resort-like.
A custom four-season cabana anchors the space, finished with Fraser wood siding and a black standing-seam metal roof built for longevity. Inside, an Urbana fireplace, full washroom, mechanical room, and dedicated septic system allow the cabana to function as a true year-round destination — complete with modern amenities for extended stays and effortless hosting.
The pool itself is a resort-style design, featuring sheer-descent water features, a generous tanning ledge, and dual custom entry stairs that invite easy, everyday use. Together, the cabana and pool create an environment that feels more like a boutique resort than a backyard.
Designed collaboratively from a blank slate, the property also reflects the homeowners’ lifestyle. A retained putting green and remote pitching deck were integrated near the home — adding a personal, playful element that complements the tranquil pool setting.
Connecting the house to the retreat, a custom 15-foot stone bridge crosses a dry creek bed, creating a sense of arrival that feels both natural and ceremonial.
We’re honoured that this project has been featured on Permacon’s homepage — a testament to the craftsmanship and thoughtful design behind this truly one-of-a-kind outdoor escape.
