This backyard transformation reimagines a classic ranch-style bungalow as an entertainer’s retreat — designed for long summer nights, open conversation, and effortless hosting. At the heart of the project is over 900 square feet of composite decking, framed with sleek, frameless glass railings that preserve sight-lines while creating a clean, modern edge. The outdoor living areas flow naturally, expanding the home’s footprint and blurring the line between indoors and out.
Two custom outdoor kitchens anchor the space, developed in collaboration with our partners at Blaze Grills to support everything from casual gatherings to full-scale celebrations. A covered fireplace, designed with Fire Garden, adds warmth and atmosphere, extending the use of the space well into the evening hours.Throughout the project, custom details elevate both form and function — from hand-rubbled Indiana limestone masonry and hand-scribed soffits to integrated in-ceiling speakers and Bromic heaters, all thoughtfully built into the architecture of the space.
The result is a refined, welcoming environment that feels as considered as it is comfortable — a backyard built not just to be seen, but to be lived in.
